Get the dashboard

The dashboard is where you lead your organization during an activation: members, teams, tasks, reports and the map. It keeps working when the internet is down.

1. Get the dashboard

Mac

macOS 12 or later, Apple silicon or Intel.

Get it on the Mac App Store

  1. Click Get on the App Store page, then Install and Open.
  2. Or find CERT Command Leader in Launchpad or Applications later.

The App Store version keeps itself up to date.

Installed the dashboard from this page before? Move that copy to the Trash, then get the App Store version. If it asks for a leader code, your county administrator can make you one.

Windows

Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit.

Get it from the Microsoft Store

  1. Click Get on the Store page, then Open.
  2. Or find CERT Command Leader in the Start menu later.

The Store version is signed by Microsoft, so Windows installs it without a warning, and it keeps itself up to date.

Installed the dashboard from this page before? Uninstall that copy, then get the Store version. If it asks for a leader code, your county administrator can make you one.

2. Join your organization

  1. Open CERT Command Leader.
  2. Paste the code from your invitation email where it asks for the leader invite code.
  3. Check that the team key shown matches the one in your email.
  4. Type your name and click Enroll this computer.

The code works for 7 days. If it runs out, reply to the invitation for a new one. If a leader of your team invited you, your computer shows Waiting for a team leader until they approve it; leave it open, it continues by itself.

3. Bring your members in

Members install the phone app and join in person, by scanning the code your dashboard shows. Want to stay up to date? Join our list.
