Frequently Asked Questions
I can't check in — what's wrong?
Verify the server address and PIN with your team leader. The server address should be the URL they provided (e.g., sapphire.certcommand.org). Make sure you have a working internet connection. If the problem persists, have your team leader confirm the server is running.
My location isn't updating on the dashboard.
Open Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → CERT Command and make sure it is set to "While Using the App". Then switch to Manual mode in the app's Status tab and tap "Share My Location Now", or switch back to Automatic mode to resume 30-second updates.
I was checked out by my team leader — how do I rejoin?
Tap Check In again on the main screen and re-enter your information. Your previous server address and PIN will be pre-filled.
My reports disappeared after the app was closed.
Reports are saved locally and synced from the server when you reopen the app. If reports are missing after reopening, ensure you have a network connection so the app can sync with the server.
I don't see other team members in the Team Members section.
The app fetches the team roster from the server every 30 seconds. If a member checked in recently, wait up to 30 seconds for them to appear. If they still don't show, confirm both devices are connected to the same server.
The app says my version is out of date.
Update CERT Command from the App Store. The team's server requires a minimum app version to ensure compatibility. You cannot check in until the app is updated.
CERT Command is a closed system used by authorized CERT teams during activations. Access requires a server address and PIN provided by your team leader. This app is not intended for general public use.

For Operational Issues

During an active CERT deployment, contact your Team Leader or County EOC directly for operational questions. Do not contact the app developer for activation-related issues — they have no visibility into your team's live data.
